Thank you, Tommy, and Amen to that. The first thing I thought of when I read this was all the sand fleas on Guanaja, and the staph infection I contracted from digging around in that pirate cave with all the iguana poop. Adds a whole new dimension to Cursed Treasure hunting.

A gentlemen by the name of Douglas Preston wrote a book about the expedition. It was a very good read and I encourage anyone interested in that subject to read the book. I only found one factual error but it was very minor. When they made an emergency landing in the plane with the LIDAR at the La Ceiba airport he said there was a US Air Force base at the airport. It was actually a Honduran Air Force Base, but we had our six Huey helicopters operating there.
