does anyone know if the shipwreck bar and grill has opened yet? i found about 30 wood chairs that would be perfect for the place if he needs them, $5.00 each

I will call him tomorrow and see if it is open, and if he needs chairs. I would assume it would be open by now. I'll call him in the morning. Get a picture and post, I could copy and send it to him.

i'm looking for a spot where i can do the above mentioned activities as far as detecting is concerned i would prefer calm water(fresh or salt). i am considering Sebastian state park but i'm looking for other options in south Florida east or west coast.

Has anyone heard from Russ? Hope everything's going well, wherever they are.

Russ is up in North Florida tending to his rental property and doing some scalloping in his free time. I talked to him last week and he said he would be up there for at least 3 weeks. He said his tenants have trashed his property and he is having to deal with the issues at hand before he can return to South Florida.

Thank you, sir. I knew he was up there fighting rental demons, I am glad to hear he hasn't let the bastards get him down. I hope he gets lots of scallops and a little rest.

I'M BAAAAACK!!!!

Okay Y'All, it wil take me a day or two to catch up and get back my sanity. I haven't even finished unpacking and getting settled. The trip was a disaster and our house is trashed to the max. The picnic deck is missing and damages to the house and grounds are extensive. We had to leave because we ran out of money and patience dealing with the wrecking crew living in the house. I can't even figure out how many people are living in the house. I just have to cool down and get back to normal before getting back to writing. I just get to angry whenever I start thinking of how our house is damaged and about how much has been stolen and probably sold. Nope, i have to chill out a few days before getting into how much damage has been done and all the other problems. Kicking out a family with 5 disturctive kids is difficult even under the best of conditions.

Away rental demons! Begone! I have more important fun things to do. Sanity, where did I put my sanity!

Russ, I sympathize with you. I once tried the remote landlord deal, with similar results.. While my damages and eviction costs were probably a lot less than you are experiencing, it was enough to make me decide I'd never do it again.

Sold the property and never looked back.

Ahoy Bil! I am thinking along the same lines. With the house devalued because of the market and the damages I can not even give it away at it's present mortgage cost. I am forced to either make the payments or let it go into foreclosure. Not wanting to let it damage our credit any more than it already is we will have to keep making the payments and figure out how to get this bunch out of it and board it up. I'd rather it was sitting vaccant than to have it torn up like this. Just wait until I can post pictures of the interrior damages and the rest of the yard damages. They have even cut down trees and destroyed both front and back steps and landings. Both work sheds are ruined to the point of being worthless and need removal.


Anyway, it's great to be home again. Once my sanity returns and I chill out I will get back to working on Feather and maybe do some Treasure Hunting. Today it is raining so it's an inside day.

I haven't even seen 1bootyseeker yet because of his work schedule. Working nights is a bummer. I used to hate the graveyard shift.


The trip did afford us a couple of days to take the dink out fishing and scalloping.

Glad you are back in one piece Russ and Sherene! Chuck told me you had renter problems, you sure did! Strange that the deck would be gone. Weird!
