B) Today was Sherene's Birthday and she wanted some special shrimp for dinner. A few days ago when we stopped to get some crabs to steam up for the girls we found a seafood outlet that had Royal Red Shrimp. They are Sherene's favorite so she wanted some for her Birthday dinner. While there I found another kind of shrimp called Tiger Shrimp. They were rated at 4 to 5 per pound. Almost 1/4 pound each. That's a large shrimp. Kind of an oxymoron but it fit. They turned out to be the best we have had in a long time. They were great with the butter and Old Bay dip and tasted a lot like lobster. I wished that I had done up a lobster bisque, that would have been awesome. They were a bit to expensive for something that I would get very often, about $30 a pound but for special occasions like the wife's birthday I would get them without a second thought. She was very impressed with them. Even more so than the Royal Reds that she wanted. I also got two pounds of Large Sea scallops. I'll post a few photos of the dinner. The large shrimp that Sherene is holding up are the Tiger Shrimp. :woohoo:

Atty had to come over to be sure I didn't have something on my plate that she didn't have.

:( Friday I had misplaced my underwater camera and spent the weekend looking for it everywhere in the shop, truck, car, house, storage room and aboard every one of the boats. It was nowhere to be found. When Pete pulled up at the shop I remembered setting it on my toolbox in the trailer. I opened it up and, sure enough, it was still sitting on the toolbox. That is a smooth riding trailer. The camera rode all weekend from here to Alva, to Orlando, to here and never fell off of the toolbox. Good driving, Pete! :woohoo:

I'm not moving anytime soon Trembull. As far as shrimp go, I bought what they called as "tiger shrimp" in Mozambique that were as big as lobsters. They had black stripes on their side and they were a foot long so they called them "tiger shrimp."

Thanks again Pete. After you left, I pulled 42 boxes out of the Expedition, put together the fireplace and some other stuff. I'm over at her daughters now and have refilled the Expedition with stuff she had over here. I Still have to put together her computer table and some other office furniture and told Deb that if she ever moves again she better have a new boyfriend.

B)

A VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!!!

We just finished dinner and are in the midst of cleaning up and trying not to pass out from all of the food and drink we have been working on the past few hours. What a meal. I could gain weight if I ate like this every day. That is, if I could afford it.

I have two doctor appointments tomorrow and that nasty heart chemical test next week. I am thinking of canceling that one. I have no indication that I am having heart issues. The chest pains turned out to be pulled muscles so I think this chemical stress test may be more damaging than helpful at this time. If it isn't indicating discomfort or pain under the load that I put on it every day why mess around with it? I have heard a lot of bad things about that chemical heart stress test. It really has gotten me worried.

Yes Sir! Got it running great and so far it is running even better than before. I think the pump may have been failing a little at a time and causing the engine to perform a little under where it should have been. I didn't notice it because it had been slow to deteriorate. Now it is performing better than before. I can take off with the trailer in tow and hardly know it is back there. More horsepower and it seems to be running much smoother and quieter. I was running home from the flea market this evening and had to keep an eye on the speed when it wasn't on cruise control. I was running way over the speed limit and didn't even realize it until I looked at the speedometer. It kind of caught me off guard.

I haven't put any of the drained fuel back in the truck. I am not sure it doesn't have water in it. It seems to look a little cloudy. Not enough to actually say there is definitely water in the gas but cloudy enough for me to possible suspect that something may be amiss. I haven't actually inspected the tanks yet but I will figure something out to check the moisture level. I would hate to put it back in the tank and have problems with it. I drained and cleaned the tank out completely before reinstalling it in the truck. I even went so far as to reach down in the tank and wipe it clean with rags soaked in alcohol until I got it completely clean. The inside looked like a brand new tank when I put it back in the truck.

Today was another bad day at the flea market. I sold one item all day. I made a whopping $10. Not good. I did get a few orders for some other items I have at the shop and will pick them up in the morning. Tomorrow should be considerably better. We'll see!

Hello Robert. I worked as a machinist, tool & die maker, moldmaker for 40 years. I really enjoyed it because I could make things for myself. My motto is "if you can dream of it, I can make it."

Yes I agree with your statement if you can dream it you can build it.. But here in east Texas the pay scale is way down. That is why we are moving to Freeport area to find better work. I plan on working for about 6 more years and by then I should have plenty of other income coming in to support us and our cruising adventures.. I want to film most of what I do such as the build of the trailer to the wife and I sailing for the first time.
