B) That is just a few of Bob's drawings. He is exceptionally talented.

:S I need to get some things at the shop in the dumpster. Stuff that is not selling or isn't being used is just taking up room that I can't afford. The rent here is ridicules and I just can't afford it any more. I want to get out of the shop and get back to some treasure diving and such. I am tired of trying to sell off stuff that nobody seems to want. This has become a throw-away society and very few people collect stuff to repair things with. I just need to get my mind around throwing things away that I know I would have used years ago. It is hard to throw away an engine or transmission or boat parts that could be used later.

B) Not yet. Right now I am in a family problem that is demanding a lot of time and every cent I can get hold of. I'll keep after getting rid of stuff when I can once this gets done and behind me.

:( Sorry about being gone so long. There has been more going on than I could have ever expected. A lot of which I can not even post here without starting WW3 with the wife and family. :S :pinch: If I explained it on here I would have to shoot me. Anyhow, I am nearing another disaster with family but it will have to remain offline. At least for now.

I missed working at the shop for several days and the wife's health is not good. The blood pressure issues are getting critical as far as I am concerned. The doctors have been unable to get it under control or even lower it with any consistency. This morning her blood pressure was 229/119. Calling the doctors has become useless. She double takes her meds but it only brings it down for a few hours at best. Her memory has been driving both of us crazy and most of you know that is a very short drive for either of us. She has another appointment tomorrow morning with a heart specialist who thinks he can get it under control. I hope he is right. We'll see what happens over the next few days.

I had two appointments today. One here at the cancer center and another at the idiot ward at the VA. I had blood work done at the cancer center and then I closed the shop and ran over there this afternoon only to find out that some idiot had set me up for an appointment that was not due until the 29th. They just said to come back next week. Typical VA screw-ups.

John, I have to get the boat out of the marina. The office called and then sent a letter about their changed policies to require registration AND insurance on any boat in our marina. It has to be registered and insured by the slip renter or we have to get the boat out or it will be towed. I have a set of stickers on your boat that are registered to one of my boats but I don't know how long that will work. I have insurance on that boat only to get the stickers needed and to keep my slip. Give me a call after about 9 or 10 tomorrow morning. I may need help to get out of here soon. I am also putting the house up for sale

Russ do you need me to tow John's boat to his house? I don't think his truck is able to tow a boat.

B) Ahoy Pete, No Thanks, I have my truck running right and it can do the haul if or when I need to. I may call you about giving me a hand one day at the shop if you are available. Meantime I am concentrating on getting everything I can finished up. I have decided to get another large live aboard boat and get out of this mobile as soon as I can find one that I can arrange financing on. I will put the house up for sale and move back aboard. The wife and kids think I am crazy again but I am going.

I'll gab with you and John later. Right now I have to get out of here and get to the shop. I can't seem to get anything done at the shop sitting here at home.

B) In the morning I have another appointment at the cancer center. This time it is a meeting with my doctor. I suppose it is to discuss the results of the last three bloodwork tests. Usually he just stops me in the office when I come in for my next bloodwork to let me know that my results are good. I am not worried but it gets my attention when he wants to talk to me in his office. I think everything is going good because I am feeling really good and other than not being able to gain weight and that dang nagging lower backache I am getting around pretty well for an old codger.

I got better than half of the house, our mobile, pressure washed before heading to the shop and still managed to get some serious sanding done on the tri-hull and did some re-taping on the Mustang. Hopefully, the weather will give me a break real soon so I can put the finish coats of clear on it and get it put back together. I want to get it done and get the tri-hull sold along with anything else I can find a buyer for. I have started looking at boats. I looked at three yesterday on the way home. I looked at a 47 foot steel hulled tug, a 42 foot trawler and a 40 foot tri-hulled pontoon houseboat. All needed extensive work. The steel tugboat was the best looking of the three but it was to narrow and the interior was way to narrow. The trawler actually needed the entire cabin ripped off and rebuilt. It was also another very narrow boat. I am looking for something 40 foot or better with something like a 14 foot beam or better. Looking at anything less than 40 feet and a 12 to 14 foot beam is a waste of time. As soon as I find something I can get a down payment on I intend to put the mobile up for sale and close the shop. If anything is still in the shop I will get it done and out and do whatever is necessary to move aboard. Cutting the house and shop out and eliminating any other bills I have that can be just stopped or paid off will save me something like $2,600 to $3,000 a month off of my outgoing cash. That will leave me able to really enjoy living aboard a boat again. Plus there will be a little cash coming in from the sale of the house and whatever else I can move. I have some pricy items that we are not using and can turn into cash pretty quick. It takes a lot less to live aboard and travel than it takes to live in a dirt dwelling like this. Even with the mobile paid for it costs a bundle to keep it parked here and take care of it's needs. Nope, I'd rather feed and take care of a boat. In a boat, if you don't like where you are you just pull up the anchor and go. No moving van required! Many years ago I had a friend that I told I was moving to another marina and he showed up the next day with his pickup truck to help me move. He was red faced when he found out I could move the entire house without doing anything more than go for a nice boat ride. He's dead now but I think of Donny every time I want to move my boat.

It is getting close to moving day again. I just hope I can find the right boat quickly rather than take several months looking for it. :woohoo:  After all, There is a ton of treasure out there waiting for me to collect it. :woohoo:

:woohoo: You're always Welcome, Bro. I'll be in the VA on Monday for those heart stress tests but the rest of the week looks good. I have a long list of things to do to get out of here as soon as I can. I sat down and made a list of things to do to get the shop closed and get the house ready to sell. I am shooting for March first to close the shop.

My meeting with the cancer doctor went really well. He said he didn't want to jump to conclusions just yet but it looks like the cancer may be in remission but he wants a few tests to be sure. I know I am feeling much better the past few weeks and want to get on with the tests and find out just where I stand. I am still having a few small problems with pain in my back but that may just be a compressed disc or something like that. I can tolerate the pain if I have to. I would rather have to deal with the pain of a disc than the pain the cancer was hitting me with. That pain was like nothing I had ever experienced before. I feel that if we could solve the lower back pain that I could get back to very near normal. My weight has come up just a little too. I weighed in at 168 today, I haven't been over 160 for a long time. I would love to get back up around 200 or 220. I miss the strength I have lost along with the weight. I am almost 75 but I don't buy into the theory of you have to lose strength and weight as you get older. I just don't see myself as getting that old. I feel that my body has gotten to far ahead of my mind. I still feel like the older I get the better I was. I look forward to getting back to how I was even a few years ago. :woohoo:

B) The heart scans and testing is over and I did very well for an old geezer. It was a long tiring day and then the truck broke down on the way home from the VA. I managed to get it repaired and back on the road in short order. Tomorrow I get back on the work in the shop and get the shop closed in the next month. If I had the money it would be a lot easier to close down and just put everything in storage until I could get rid of it but that will have to wait until I get two of the jobs finished and out of the shop. :woohoo: It looks like I may be entering the last tunnel. Is that a light I see? :woohoo: Where is my gold dredge???
