Ah, but alas, no cannons thunder, no ships to plunder, no wayward ports to lay asunder... o what misfortune! The miserable fate of a pirate born too late. (Jimmy Buffett)

Tom, If you're headed to Roatan. I heard that some fisherman found a few gold coins on a wreck in shallow water around there a few months ago. You might want to ask around. You might get lucky and hear something .

I have a local that I met down there. A trust worthy young man and he will guide you around the island and perhaps find out a lot of things that might be hard for a Gringo to find out. If you're interested. I'll send you his name, phone number and an email contact through his cousin. He calls me every few weeks. He's a great source of local information.

Good Luck and keep us posted.

Gracias oldman, Roatan is on my short list along with a couple other of the Bay Islands. Loaded up my gear today, to include dive gear, Minelab Excalibur and a couple of other items into a shipping container for the overland trek, and I will be flying over to the coast this weekend.
Always interested in meeting new folks for the hunt, so email me his contact info and I will look him up before I head over to the islands.
This week I am busy packing up my casa here in Guatemala and putting everything into storage.
I will be posting regular updates here on TreasureWorks on our progress, along with a few videos of the hunt.

Well, I found a nice apartment in Zone 14 yesterday and negotiated a good price. I hope to be moving in sometime this next week. I have just about everything I own down here packed in the back of my Chevy Blazer, so It will sure be nice to get settled into a place I can call home again and start cooking my own meals instead of eating out all the time.

Well, I'm all moved into my new Guatemala City digs and have added a couple of pictures. Now I have to get the Blazer into the shop for some repairs.

Looks like things are going to suck in this part of the Caribbean next week...
I guess that going back to Roatan or Belize are off my list for next week.
Judy - It looks like you are in the cone next week. Are you planning on leaving the island just in case?

Doing good down this way John, everything is almost back to normal. It has been a long crazy summer for me down here and I'm in need of a vacation and some good rest and relaxation.
The truck is running good again mechanically. Going to put her back to the shop on Monday for new tie-rods and tires and then it will be time to head out of town for a little bit.

Good morning and greetings from the heart of the Mayan Empire. I just looked at my Mayan Calendar this morning and noticed that we only have 105 Day's remaining on the Mayan Calendar and the return of the god Bolon Yokte.
