I finally finished the digital version. This mixed media painting will be 4x3 feet. I couldn't have done this without the enormous help from Terry Armstrong who painstakingly digitally built these ships to scale in a cad program that I was able to manipulate in photoshop and paint /effects programs. This depicts the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet sailing into the storm and their final destiny...

Now what's next? Are you going to make an oil painting on canvas?

I see a problem with the second painting. According to eyewitness accounts the masts were the first things to go down. Also the topsails don't even have a rip in them?

The topsails are already gone. The rest of the masts are on the way. I didn't know you were there...For Christ Sakes, It's just a picture Pete!

I think an overhead /birds eye view of the coast and wrecks including survivors on the beach would be awesome!!!
