Awesome! I spent some time in Hawaii back in the 60's. I tried surfing the North Shore of Oahu but when the surf tried to stomp me into the coral bottom I decided to refrain from riding the really big waves.

I would rather go horseback riding along Diamondhead and dive the secluded beaches.
It would seem that Hawaii would have a lot of possibilities where the old sailing ships anchored when loading or waiting for cargo, food and water. Sailors tend to throw things over the side while sitting in harbor. They would usually anchor in 20 to 30 feet of water inside a protected harbor. It might be worth a look. Rich tourists lose a lot of things wile playing in Hawaii's rough surf and just sunning on those beautiful beaches.
