Seems I have a friend who will be spending some time in Guatamla. I wonder what treasure hunting opportunities he might run into while there....

John, good to see ya on board! I hear that there is lots of treasure yet to be uncovered down that way. Lots of old Mayan Ruins yet to be discovered.

Hey Tom,
I just read the CIA's Fact Book on Guatemala and they don't paint a pretty picture. But I guess about anyplace is better than Afghanistan!

Yea, they have a long way to go, and the Government is relatively dysfunctional and ineffective. The result is that crime is rampant and the drug lords have way too much freedom to do what they do. The good news is that they are not out to kill you just because you are an infidel. I figure that I survived the last two years living in Kabul Afghanistan, so Guatemala should be easy.

Henry, I have created a section in the Research Department for Treasure Legends, this would be an excellent place to get the discussion on the "Yamashita Treasures" going.
Welcome aboard!
