Hello jliving

Most of shipwrecks can be found on the eastern side of the Peninsular and further down the coast towards Ancon. I recall from my poor memory that the 1664 El Capitana shipwreck lies on a reef off the coast in that area near Ancon. I have am nnot sure it has been fully salvaged? The diving is was in estuarine water and very murky with poor visability. But it is by no means the only shipwreck out there.

There was another site that near of interest for small catches. San Martins ship was looted by lord cochrane seeking back pay for money owed in about 1821. Many men drank and gambled thier wages ashore in Ancon, So it is possible there might be some small caches hidden on shore near Ancon?
