In Russia throughout several tens years searches of many tons of imperial gold which has disappeared proceed or has been hidden during revolutionary shocks. Round treasure the legend comparable to a legend about the Amber room in Poland has grown

At first it was searched unsuccessfully by security officers and People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs. Then KGB, Federal Agency of Safety and others, more or less secret, services of Russia. For ninety years nobody could pull out secrets at the Siberian earth. During last scientific expedition of the Russian researchers to Baikal, bathyscaphes have found out at the bottom of lake the car of times of civil war. At once rumours were spread that it can be a trace of the gone gold of Kolchaka.

The treasure was a part of stocks of gold and the silver of imperial Russia estimated from 1200 to 1600 tons. During the First World War, on the eve of Bolshevist revolution, tsar Nikolay II has ordered to take out these huge riches to Kazan on Volga. In a city have collected more than 600 tons of gold ingots and gold roubles and almost 500 tons of silver, including jewels. Soon in Russia civil war has begun, and the imperial treasure has come into the hands of Bolsheviks.

In the autumn of 1918 Kazan was grasped supporting White by soldiers of the Czechoslovak case - generated during the First World War in territory of Russia from captured and deserters from Austro-Hungarian army. Under the supervision of Czechs, imperial gold has been transported to Omsk where the headquarters of admiral Kolchaka took place.

Leaning against money from gold reserves of tsars, admiral Alexander Kolchak has grasped the dictatorial power in all Siberia, up to Ural Mountains. A gold part have immediately sent in banks of France, Great Britain and Japan as a payment for the weapon, supply and provisions and in the form of the deposits translated, possibly, into private accounts. When in May, 1919, at last, Kolchak has ordered to spend treasure inventory, it has appeared that there was about 500 tons.

As it is a lot of from these means has spent, till now nobody knows. It is supposed that it could use about 180 tons, but there are no documents which would confirm such quantity.

In the autumn of 1919 when the Red Army has started to force out armies white from the next provinces, and Kolchaka pushed aside all further for Ural Mountains, an admiral has decided to send treasure to Vladivostok. Gold should be transported on the east on the Trans-Siberian railway. The valuable deposit have shipped in 29 cars, and the gold train has gone from Omsk on the east. In structure there were also cars with platinum and silver. But boxes with treasure of Kolchaka so never also have not reached Vladivostok.

Mysterious train

The route of gold structure was supervised by soldiers of the Czechoslovak case. They have been obliged to protect and sending of Kolchaka. There is no saying why, but the train with treasure was dragged ruthlessly slowly. Only travel to Irkutsk which in those circumstances could be overcome within ten days, lasted more than two months. At that time across Siberia has extended антиколчаковское revolt, the army of an admiral has been pushed aside further on the east, Bolsheviks became stronger, and a admiral lost support of Antanty. At last representatives of a coalition have forced Kolchaka to give the power to general Denikin and to transfer a train with gold under control of Czechs. It happens on December, 27th at station Nizhneudinsk.

When the train has reached to Irkutsk, the Czech soldiers all the same have transferred to Bolsheviks as an admiral, and transported gold. In exchange they have received a guarantee of a safe way to Vladivostok and 30 cars with coal for a steam locomotive.

Bolsheviks have shot Kolchaka, and gold have again transported to Kazan. However they have received what part of treasure from Czechs actually, it is difficult to establish. Various sources give inconsistent, or only approximate data. It is told about approximately 409 million roubles by gold, or about 18 cars, which Czech soldiers have ostensibly transferred to representatives of Revolutionary Committee. When gold has returned to Kazan, the Soviet bankers have estimated its quantity as approximately 318 tons, and 190 tons have counted as missing persons. Recognised also that 5 tons "have evaporated" at Bolsheviks.

Exact cost of treasure which has come into the hands of Kolchaka, has been never established. Gold from imperial fund recalculated for any units of measure: from roubles, through boxes and poods, to tons, or even cars. Such calculations far were not exact, so it is no wonder that till today it is difficult to define, how many gold has really sent Kolchak to Vladivostok, and how many was gone from a gold train. It could be about ton, or three. Or much more. Under one version, it is Czechs, have taken out from Irkutsk 18 cars.

Indications of eyewitnesses which asserted have remained also that on the way to Omsk, boxes with gold disappeared from a train and have been dug in a taiga.

The concealed gold

It is known that that part of the treasure, which Kolchak has had time to check in the western banks, has been sent by parties from Siberia by train to Vladivostok. As a whole an admiral has carried out such 7 transportations. One of parties, last, in Transbaikalia has been grasped by ataman Semyonovym.
Was there about 30 tons of gold.

There is also the third trace named simply Siberian. According to this version, the part of gold of Kolchaka has been hidden around Tomsk, Tobolsk and Tyumen.
Among some selectors of a treasure of Kolchaka it is considered that a provident admiral all time hid gold in parts in various places.

Treasure usually dug in in the earth. Sceptics specify that in 1919 the winter has begun early and was very frosty that practically did impossible a gold burial place. But an admiral was not the simple military man. It was also the polar explorer, the researcher and the sapper. He knew how to consult in difficult polar conditions. Probably, at building of hiding places used an explosive.

One of theories says that колчаковского gold people of an admiral tried to take a part in a train through Baikal, stacking on the frozen ice of lake rails. However ice has not sustained, and the treasure has gone on a bottom. When last year one of submersibles the World has found the old car of times of civil war at the bottom of Baikal, gold of Kolchaka have again remembered. Support of the action of search was expressed even by deputies of the State Duma.

However, in car fragments, instead of treasure the box with cartridges has been found out only. It is more probable that the weakened rests of army Kolchaka, escaping from Red Army, were forwarded through Baikal on sledge on which carried a part of the treasure rescued from new "owners". The frosts reaching of 60 degrees, and a wind have made the. The dreadful trip was endured by the few. The gold part together with sledge has left on a bottom during spring thawing of ice, the part has been hidden in cellars of neighbouring churches.

The Russian services searched for the hidden gold of Kolchaka within several decades. Only around Tobolsk, Tomsk and Tyumen security officers dug the earth the whole decade, with 1922 till 1933. They managed to find a part of imperial jewelry.

In 1941 of People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs on the basis of indications of the witness-eyewitness has begun searches of 26 chests of the gold dug around settlement the Taiga. However the witness, the former regimental clerk in an army of Kolchaka, could not define precisely a site of a hiding place with treasure, asserting that after стольких years not in a condition to distinguish a place. It has been shot on charge about deception and a power deceit. In 50th years to find this gold the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs tried. In 1970 around Khanty-Mansiysk gold searched for KGB. There are also data on the treasure hidden in caves of Altai, and some years ago there was also a Kazakh trace.

Probably, to find gold of Kolchaka, it is necessary... To think on-polski. This gold epopee occurred one of advisers of an admiral when, there was a Pole. The writer, the traveller, scientific, the geographer, the chemist and the geologist, professor Ferdinand Antony Ossendovsky. The anticommunist, the talented scout and the expert on Siberia who in 1922 has returned to free Poland. In the country it has reached through Manchuria and Mongolia, and, according to some legends about gold of Kolchaka, the treasure part there is hidden.

The imperial gold grasped by admiral Kolchak, to such degree has acquired already myths that today it is difficult to separate a fantasy from the facts. Does not cause doubts only that people still for a long time will tell about the lost treasure and as long it to search. This image is hidden for guests. Please log in or register to see it.
