I would love to search those beaches last time I was there I was 10 years old. Thats a vacation of a camp out 16 hour days go up and down the coast. Are any of those beach areas private?

Man I need to dust off my tagging skills....

Here's the straight away link and if you're a facebook user and don't mind "like" this to help us get promoted, please.

All the beaches are public. You can start north of Sebastian and go down to past Jupiter for known coin/wreck sites...

Nice video, but I don't buy it for a second! That gold coin was way too clean and shiney to have just been found after many many years... Was that part of the Savage Diggers episode!

Gold being inert looks just like the day it was coined, "barred", "disked", chained... even after hundreds of years in the ocean. That's why it's considered the most noble of metals.

So now imagine how incredible those "carpets of gold" of thousands of escudos looked when they were found!

Hello All

I have to agree with booty seeker. In that type of terrain on the sea floor it looked a little too clean however if a large layer of sand covered the coin they can some time turn up clean.

Anyway nice find.

The cleaness was a "blow hole" from propwash excavation, but again gold is inert and it looks like the day it was "made into whatever" even after hundreds of years underwater.
