I have a treasure hound that will see a metal 5 gal bucket lid at better than three feet. I have a 20 pound piece of lead with about the same surface area and the treasure hound will only pick up the lead at about one foot. My question is: Has anyone out there actually run a treasure hound over a large gold target? If so, what was the size of the target and what was the depth? My concern is that gold will be seen like lead to the detector and that my depth is next to nothing.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi take a look here.

lrlman.com/detector%20reports.htm

look at the milk can 6 ft deep using the garrett.

Home of the Arc-Geo logger imaging system! Now you can see what you've been missing.

Tim, thanks for the info, but I had already seen that when I checked out your data logger previously. What I would like to find is someone that has swung the garrett over a large GOLD target. Anyone out there who knows what the garrett does over a large gold target?
